Still Moving: A Reflection on Progress, Purpose, and Pivoting

Still Moving: A Reflection on Progress, Purpose, and Pivoting

This week is full of celebrations and milestones.

7 years ago this week, I stepped into the gym for the first time and was introduced to weight training—and I loved it.

I remember walking into the gym both excited and nervous. A Facebook friend had posted a photo that sparked something in me. I was ready to commit. Group fitness became exactly what I needed. The energy, the structure, and the support from others had me coming back—day after day, week after week.

I didn’t know then how much that one decision would transform my life.

Not just my body, but my mindset.

Not just how I move, but how I see myself.

That moment planted the seed for a whole new version of me.

Let me be honest though: the journey hasn’t been linear. I’ve lost weight. I’ve gained some back. There were seasons where I didn’t feel as strong or consistent. But here’s what matters most:

I didn’t quit. I’m still moving.

And that, right there, is worth celebrating.

This season of life is full. I’m working full-time, enjoying my family, and building something new—a space to support women navigating change and rediscovering themselves. And somewhere in the middle of it all, I’ve been learning how to hold space for me, too.

That’s the real balance.

It’s not about being perfect. It’s about checking in, taking the next best step, and allowing space for both grace and growth. Because sometimes, the greatest strength is simply refusing to give up.

Yesterday, at my son’s graduation, part of the commencement speech I heard two words that landed in my spirit:

“Don’t quit.”

It was simple. But it was everything.

It reminded me of a scripture that’s carried me through more than a few hard seasons:

“Let us not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.”

— Galatians 6:9

That message was directed to my son, but it was for me too. And maybe—it’s for you.

So if you’re in a season where things feel off-track…

If you’ve gained weight back, lost momentum, or feel like you’re just trying to stay afloat

I see you.

2018 vs 2025

Still Rockin Blue. Still moving, Still growing, Still learning

I am you.

And I want you to know: You are still in this.

You’re not behind.

You’re not broken.

You’re in the middle of becoming.

If you’re standing where I once stood—tired, unsure, but still hoping—know this:

There is still time.

There is still room.

And you are still worthy of showing up for yourself.

Don’t quit. Keep moving. God’s not done with you yet.
