Flashback, Forward Focus: Reclaiming the Glow

Today, a memory popped up on my feed — a photo from six years ago, right after I had lost 62 pounds. I remember how powerful I felt in that moment. Not just because of the number on the scale, but because of what it represented — the discipline, the energy, the glow.

And seeing it now? Whew. It hit different.

Because I’m not back to that version of me yet — but I’m on my way toward a vision that represents where and who I am today.

This isn’t about chasing a past body. It’s about reclaiming the feeling I had:

✨ Confident

✨ Focused

✨ Energized

✨ Proud

It’s vulnerable to share this. To say out loud that I’m working toward something again. But it’s also accountability — and truthfully, it’s a love letter to myself.

I’ve been in a rebuilding season. Working out consistently, making intentional food choices, and choosing not to shame myself for the detours. I’m not starting from scratch — I’m starting from wisdom and experience.

So yes, that photo was a flex. But what’s coming? That’s the full transformation.

I’m not working out for the scale. I’m working out for my health.

For my future.

For my peace.

For the version of me that doesn’t just look good — but feels deeply good.

And when I get all the way back to that glow?

Whew. Don’t talk to me. (Okay, maybe a little — just bring a smoothie and some compliments. 😌)
